Politecnico Calzaturiero, founded in 1923 as “School of Arts and Jobs”, is heir to a tradition and a commitment of shoe manufacturers for the qualification of human resources. The “School of Arts and Jobs” became the “School of Design and Tecnique of shoe”, where participants study with the aim of becoming patternmakers. The School is still active and has more than 150 students.
Partnership of Politecnico Calzaturiero is a network composed of Associations of footwear manufacturers and institutional actors in Veneto Region. A.C.Ri.B., Riviera del Brenta Footwear Manufacturers Association.
Politecnico Calzaturiero is one of three national centers of excellence, identified by the National Association of Italian Footwear Manufacturers (ANCI), together with POLIMODA of Florence and the SCAM of Civitanova Marche.
In 2001, Politecnico Calzaturiero s.c.a.r.l. was created to support the growth and development of the footwear sector in the Veneto Region implementing actions in many areas like Technological Innovation, Quality, Training and Safety in the Work Area and Machinery for the sector.
